Enhancing Source Code Tracking for Indeed Apply in Workday ATS

Optimize recruitment tracking in Workday ATS with JobSplice. Our solution differentiates Indeed Organic and Sponsored applications using unique source codes, enabling accurate cost-per-application tracking and better hiring insights.

Challenge

A leading healthcare provider needed to differentiate Indeed Organic and Indeed Sponsored applications within Workday ATS, where Indeed Apply was enabled. Since Indeed Apply pushes candidates directly into ATSs like Workday and iCIMS using the same source code for both application types, the client couldn’t accurately calculate the true Cost per Application from Sponsored jobs.

Solution

Using JobSplice, we developed multiple job feeds that met Indeed’s Feed Quality audit standards, each with distinct visibility settings:

  • One feed for Organic traffic with a unique ATS source code.
  • One feed for Sponsored jobs with a separate ATS source code.

This setup allowed Indeed Apply applications to appear in Workday with distinct source codes for Organic and Sponsored traffic, enabling precise cost tracking and performance analysis.

How It Works

  • JobSplice structures job feed data using XML, a machine-readable format that organizes information with tagged elements.
  • The segmented feeds ensure that Workday accurately reflects the source of each application.
  • Recruiters gain full visibility into their advertising spend and hiring efficiency.

Impact

By implementing this feed segmentation strategy, the client can now:
✅ Accurately track the Cost per Application for Sponsored jobs.
✅ Improve budget allocation by distinguishing Organic and Paid traffic.
✅ Enhance reporting and recruitment analytics in Workday ATS.

With JobSplice, organizations can optimize their recruitment strategy with clearer insights and better cost efficiency.
